Turning a good team into a great team
Every team -- like every practice -- has enormous untapped potential waiting to be found. It is the dentist's job to discover and encourage that potential.
Inspire your team. Motivation can decrease over time, especially for many long-term team members. However, nearly all team members can perform at a higher level with better and more positive motivation. How do you do this? By making some constructive changes to your organization and your leadership style, you can inspire your team.
Don't criticize. When team members are doing a good job, let them know. When they are not, re-educate rather than criticize. Often, the problem lies with how team members are trained, not with the team members themselves.
