The Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO) praised new legislation in Pennsylvania that would make it easier for out-of-state dentists and dental hygienists to practice there.
Currently, dental licensure is managed by each state, with individual requirements. Most licenses are only valid in the state where they were issued.
The newly introduced bills would add Pennsylvania to the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact, which is active in 12 states. This move aims to ease the state’s dental provider shortage.
