A dentist in Massachusetts was arrested on January 15 as part of a trafficking sting after allegedly attempting to meet up with someone he believed to be a minor for sexual purposes, according to authorities.
Dr. Rizwan Baig, 45, who operates a practice in Shrewsbury, MA, was charged with attempted rape of a child, enticement of a child under 1, and sexual conduct for a fee with a child. Baig was released on bail after he was arraigned on January 16, according to a press release authorities posted on social media on January 16.
On January 15, Baig reportedly arrived at an undisclosed location in Sutton, MA, with the intention of meeting someone under the age of 16 to engage in sexual relations. The arrest was made after Baig allegedly exchanged online messages with an undercover state trooper whom he thought was a minor, according to the post.
