PacificSource buys Advantage Dental

PacificSource Health Plans has acquired the commercial business of dental insurer Advantage Dental Plan, according to a news article in the Register Guard.

PacificSource, an independent nonprofit health insurer, paid $3.5 million for Advantage Dental, according to the article.

"This arrangement will make PacificSource more competitive and help us grow our dental business in all markets," said PacificSource CEO Ken Provencher.

The acquisition will more than double PacificSource's dental membership to 67,000, according to the artcle.
