Missouri mobile dental program faces cuts

Budget problems in Missouri could force a nearly 50-year-old mobile dental program for developmentally disabled children and adults to drastically cut its services, according to an Associated Press (AP) story.

At present, two mobile units serve 30,000 patients across the state. While the Missouri Elks Foundation helps support the program, the state's contributions have dropped from $500,000 to $177,000 last year. State support will end completely on September 30, according to the AP story.
