Kaplan Higher Education has opened a new college campus in Arlington, TX -- the company's 17th in the state of Texas.
The campus will begin offering four associate degree diploma programs -- dental assistant, medical assistant, medical billing, and coding specialist and computer support technician -- in 2010.
Among the skills dental assistants will learn:
- Caring for patients in the treatment room
- Taking dental x-rays
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth
- Teaching preventive dentistry to patients
- Assisting with oral surgery
- Performing oral evacuation
