Three California counties will soon be receiving services from a dental van that will bring services to people who don't have access to dental care, according to a news article in the Chico Enterprise-Record.
The traveling clinic is funded by First 5 commissions in Butte, Glenn, and Tehama counties through a $375,000 grant to Northern Valley Indian Health, which covers the cost of the facility and services in all three counties, the story stated.
Starting in January, the mobile clinic will cater to pregnant women and children without access to dental care, supplying a full range of services including dental exams, cleanings, fluoride varnishes, sealants, extractions, crowns, fillings, and pediatric root canals, according to the story.
