Virginia gets new community dental clinic

The staff of a new community Piedmont Access to Health Services dental clinic in Danville, VA, planned to begin training today, according to wpcva.com.

The clinic is funded in part with a $358,000 grant from the Danville Regional Foundation and will be based at Danville Community College, the report said.

"This is not a free clinic model," said Kay Crane, PATHS' chief executive officer, according to the Web site. "But rather the dental clinic will accept all kinds of insurance, and for those without insurance, a payment plan will be arranged."

The clinic has not set a date for opening, but hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m, wpcva.com reported.
