Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's father -- a dentist in Dobbs Ferry, NY -- says his passion for technology influenced his son's interest in computers and software, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal.
In an interview February 4 on radio station WVOX, Edward Zuckerberg, DDS, said Mark and his siblings spent much time in his dental office while they were growing up because the office was located in the family home.
Dr. Zuckerberg said his office has always been technologically oriented and that he first began computerizing the office in 1985.
He also said he uses Facebook to promote his dental practice and still does Mark's routine dental care.
