OraSure Technologies has completed its acquisition of DNA Genotek for $50.7 million in cash.
DNA Genotek is a provider of oral fluid sample collection, stabilization, and preparation products for molecular diagnostic applications. Its lead product, the Oragene DNA Self-Collection Kit, provides an all-in-one system for the collection, stabilization, transportation, and purification of DNA from saliva.
This acquisition strengthens OraSure's position in oral fluid diagnostics by providing OraSure with a complementary portfolio of products, according to the company.
