Parent outraged after teacher pulls student's tooth

The mother of a 10-year-old autistic boy intends to file assault and child-abuse charges against her son's teacher for pulling one of his loose primary teeth, according to a report by WBZ-TV in Boston.

The child was distracted by the loose tooth, frequently reaching into his mouth to touch it, according to the teacher, who teaches 4th grade at Woodrow Wilson Elementary in Framingham, MA. So after lunch she pulled the tooth and sent an email to the child's mother explaining that he would be returning home with it and apologizing for the incident, the article explained.

The email also noted that the child was examined by the school nurse immediately after the tooth was pulled.

But the mom, Sabrina Grant, was upset that someone who is not medically trained pulled the tooth. She also claims the teacher pulled the wrong one, according to the article.

The school is investigating the incident.
