In "Oral Candidiasis: Pathogenesis, Clinical Presentation, Diagnosis, and Treatment Strategies," the authors provide a comprehensive overview and clinically relevant information. Oral candidiasis can often be successfully managed using a topical antifungal agent, although some cases that are refractory to topical therapy may require systemic therapy or referral to a specialist with more experience in the management of oral candidiasis, they concluded.
The article "Orofacial Manifestations of Bacterial and Viral Infections in Children" details conditions predisposing children to infection, including systemic and local factors.
The authors review the importance of prompt recognition of these infections, as this will lead to adequate management, parental reassurance, and improved quality of life and long-term outcomes in young patients.
