Delta Dental of NJ names new chief exec

Delta Dental of New Jersey has named a new president and CEO, Dennis G. Wilson, a 25-year veteran of the healthcare industry, effective immediately.

Wilson replaces Walter VanBrunt, who is retiring after serving as CEO for the past 15 years, the company noted in a press release.

Wilson previously served as president of the Mid-Atlantic region at Coventry Health Care/Aetna. From 2007 to 2010, he was president and CEO of Lovelace Health Plan in Albuquerque, NM. From 2004 to 2007, he was a market segment president with Cigna Healthcare in Bloomfield, CT. He has also held prominent positions at Partners in Care, Healthnet/Foundation Health Systems, and Independence Blue Cross.
