Comfort Dental hosted its 30th annual Care Day on Christmas Eve day by offering free dental care to those in need.
Patients were helped on a first-come, first-served basis, receiving a variety of basic dental care from cleanings to extractions. More serious dental problems were handled on an individual basis and at the discretion of the individual dentist.
All Comfort Dental general dentistry offices in 11 states participated, including offices in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and Washington.
Last year on Care Day, Comfort Dental offices saw more than 6,000 patients nationally, and gave away $1.5 million in free dental services, according to the company. This year, the need was estimated to likely be bigger based on economic conditions and need.
